How do I reset my Roomba bin sensor? ›

After you have cleaned the Bin Sensors, it may be necessary to clear the error by rebooting the robot. Press and hold the CLEAN button for about 10 seconds until the display reads “rSt”. Roomba will play a tone indicating that the reset is complete.

If Roomba® continues to indicate the bin is full after you have emptied the bin, it means you have not thoroughly cleaned the bin full sensors and/or the sensor ports. After you have cleaned all six full bin sensors and ports, it may be necessary to clear the error by rebooting the robot.

After cleaning and lubricating, if your brush still isn't spinning you'll need to replace it. For most Roomba models, iHome either includes an extra replacement brush, or you can order one from the company.

A: It stops running and announces that it's stuck. It only makes the announcement once and then goes to sleep to wait for help.

NOTE: You may reset your robot's obstacle detection sensitivity settings by going to Robot Settings > Cleaning Preferences > Obstacle Detection. Additionally, you may adjust Obstacle Detection settings per room in the overflow menu on your Smart Map.
